Funeral services were held for Everett Bailey at 2:00 p.m. at the Jimmy Osburn Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, July 5, 1980. Burial was in the Dry Bayou Cemetery with the Reverend Eddie Roden officiating.
Mr. Bailey was born on July 17, 1901 in Alto Pass, Illinois, and passed away on July 3, 1980, at the Pemiscot Memorial Medical Center in Hayti at the age of 78 years.
Mr. Bailey was the son of the late Monroe and Mary Bailey. He married the former Miss Beulah Funderburk on Oct. 31, 1925 in New Madrid, Mo. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jess Bailey.
He leaves the following to survive: Wife, Beulah Bailey of Hayti, one son, Robert Bailey of Hayti, One grandson, Robert L. Bailey of Hayti and one half brother and two half sisters.
Pallbearers were Lennie Watkins, Jr., George Merrell III, J.W. Bradford, Mike Curtis, G.F. Stanley and Troy McCulloch.
The Jimmy Osborn Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of arrangements.
