Roger was born Sep 28, 1922, Troy Township, Wood County, Ohio.
He was a 1940 graduate of Woodville high school.

Roger was employed at his father's garage at Stony Ridge, Ohio.

In Nov 16, 1942 he enlisted to the air corps.
He recieved his wings July 9, 1943.

In Nov 12, 1943 he arrived in England to join the 401st BG
His last mission, Mar 2, 1944 Target: Frankfurt, Aircraft was attacked by 6 or 7 fighters ( me 109's ).
Roger did not survived this attack.
The plane was forced down when the attack shot up tail badly.
He was awarded with an Air Medal and a Purple Heart Medal

In 1944, when Roger died on the age of 21 he left behind his family :

His mother, Friedo Leking
His sister, Jeanette Leking
His brother, Lee Leking
