Andrew Joseph King, 58, of West Caldwell died on Aug. 7, 2008, at Yale Hospital in New Haven, Conn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, Aug. 11, at 10 a.m. in St. Aloysius R.C. Church in Caldwell. Visitation will be on Sunday, Aug. 10, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Dancy Funeral Home, 9 Smull Ave., Caldwell. Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
Born in Providence, R.I., Mr. King lived in West Caldwell for 32 years.
He was the owner of Andy's Florist in Pine Brook for 21 years. He was a creative genius in floral design who donated his talent and time to many charitable organizations in the community.
He graduated in 1972 from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa., with a bachelor's degree in history.
He was the devoted husband of Frances (Lacquanti); beloved father of Megan M. and Kellianne M.; and dear brother of Debra Wilson and Bunny Petteruti.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kiwanis Club Foundation Inc., (with a memo: We Love Andy Fund), and mailed to The We Love Andy Fund, M. Rampinelli, 607 Bloomfield Ave., West Caldwell, N.J., 07006.
