Lee Roy Bragg

Lee Roy Bragg, 73, of Bragg, died Wednesday, Sept 18, 2002, at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital following a short illness.

Born April 20, 1929, in Bragg, he was the son of the late William Henry Bragg and Florence May Radford.

Mr. Bragg was a retired employee of Thomas Nursery at Shady Spring. He was of the Freewill Baptist faith and lived most of his life at Bragg.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Oscar William Bragg and Leonard Bragg; and two sisters, Mary Jane Bragg and Lillie Mae Bragg.

Survivors include his wife, Caroline Ward Bragg; former wife, Clara Margaret Bragg; three sons, Mitchell Wayne Bragg and wife, Juanita, of Bragg, Danny Lee Bragg and wife, Connie, of Bragg, and Eric Dean Bragg and fiancee, Melinda Mann of Harper; two brothers, Jimmy Ray Bragg and wife Carol, of Bragg and Donnie Russell Bragg and wife, Judy, of Pluto; a sister Pauline Bragg of Bragg; three grandchildren, Matthew Wayne Bragg, Samantha Jane Bragg and Christina Frances Bragg; and many nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

Service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel, Beckley, with pastor David Trump officiating. Burial will follow in the Garten Cemetery, Bragg.

Friends may call 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Plumley, Lloyd Elliott, Matthew Wayne Bragg, Lonnie Morrison, Doug Gill, and Jimmy Cales.
