MAYFIELD, Ky.--Services for Sara W. Maddox, 85, of Mayfield will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield. The Revs. Bob Swift and Rufus Harris will officiate, and burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Maddox died at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday at Baptist Montclair Hospital in Birmingham, Ala.
She was a retired schoolteacher for Mayfield City Schools, and was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are one son, the Rev. Rufus Harris of Locust Fork, Ala.; one daughter, Eleanor Fleenor of Church Hill, Tenn.; one sister, Mary Eff McCracken of Louisville; and two granddaughters, Laura Harris and Sara Harris, both of Locust Fork.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Maddox, and two sisters. Her parents were John E. and Eleanor Jenkins Wilson.
