Clayton Walter Fike born July 16, 1917, in Duchesne, Utah.

Died Nov 22, 2002, aged 85 years. Clayton went to work at four years of age at the Garden Gate Ice Cream Parlor next to his house, 9th S. and 9th E, Salt Lake City, UT. Second son of Ethel Mae McMonegal and Walter Fike.

Spent World War II flying in New Guinea and the Phil-ippines in Far East Air Com-mand. Later became employed by the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller.

Survived by his wife of 60 years, Wanda O. Fike; daughter, Mary (Mitch) Wiley; son, Andrew Fike; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Jack; and sisters, Henrietta, Gladys, Lucille, Phyllis.

Clayton loved his family, his woodshop and helping and doing things for others. The family would like to thank everyone at Care Source Hospice for all their comfort and compassion.

Services will be Tues. Nov 26, 2002 11 a.m. Highland View Ward Chapel (2980 S. 2790 E). Friends may call 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Mountain View Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and gifts, please make charitable contributions to the Utah Food Bank
