Mifflinburg-Candy Jo Hackenburg, 27, of 137 Possum Road, passed away at 6:38 am Friday, May 26, 2006, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Forest Hill Road, West Buffalo Township.
She was born Jan 30, 1979, in Muncy, a daughter of Marion M (Radel) Pick of Mifflinburg and Boyd A Knepp of New York.
She was a 1997 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School.
On April 23, 2005, she married Paul E. Hackenburg Jr.who survives.
She was enployed by Phillips Industries, Selinsgrove.
Candy was a selfless person who put everyone else first. The center of her life were her children.
She enjoyed attending yard sales.
Surviving , in addition to her husband and her parents are her three children, Trinity Marie, Bryce Stanley, and Zack Michael Hackenburg, all at home; one sister and brother-in-law, Dawn Marie and Rod Kerstetter of Milton; one brother and sister-in-law, William and Marcia Knepp of Sunbury; her father-in-law Paul Hackenburg of Penns Creek; her mother-in-law, Rita Sarfine of Middleburg; nieces and nephews, Brandon, Chance, Chasity, Kasey, and Jordan Kerstetter, Chaz Francis, and Isaiah Knepp; numerous neices and nephews by marriage; one brother-in-law, colby Starks of Middleburg; three sisters-in-law Wendy and her husband Jim Cook of Kreamer, Rhonda Young and her husband Bill of Sunbury, and Danielle Starks of Middleburg.
She was predeceded in death by her step father Stanley W. Pick; her maternal grandparents Eunice and Isaiah Radel; her paternal grandparents, William and Laura Knepp.
Visitors may call from 7 to 9 pm Tuesday at Hummel Funeral Home, 5774 Hill Street, Middleburg. The funeral will be at 2 pm Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev Julia A Beall officiating.
Burial will be in the LIncoln Chapel Church Cemetery, Millmont.
