Arthur Admiral, a lifelong Oak Harbor resident, died peacefully on Aug. 26, 2011, at the age of 92. Art was born Jan. 29, 1919, at Cornet Bay to Pete and Albertha Admiral. Art grew up in Oak Harbor with his five siblings and attended Oak Harbor High School.

After serving in the Navy in World War II, Art returned and married Marge Porter in 1947. Art and Marge raised their family in Oak Harbor where Art worked as a plant manager for Concrete Nor'west for many years. Art had a great sense of humor and his joys included hunting, golfing and working in his garden. He is survived by his wife Marge Admiral, sisters Betty Porter and Gert Bowen, children Sandy Admiral and Ron (Deborah) Admiral, and grandchildren Christiana Admiral, Rosemary Admiral, Alisa Admiral and Justin Admiral. Art's life was honored at a private family gathering on Whidbey Island.
