ABNEY Clara (nee Shuler), Loving wife of the late Bascum Abney Sr. Mother of James Abney (Jean), Frank Abney, Billy Abney (Donna), Bascum Abney Jr., Mary Sue Gillespie (Gary), Jerry Abney (Janet), Linda Brooks (Jerry), Wanda Lykins (Greg) and Tommy Abney. Sister of Jim and Flossie Shuler. Grandmother of 29 Grandchildren and numerous Great Grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her daughter Sally Pence (and the late Bill Pence), Brothers Roy and Elmer Shuler, Sisters Ollie and Dovie Branham, Ivory Crowe and Ella Spencer. Clara passed away on January 26, 2010 at the age of 90. She was a resident of Amelia. Visitation will be at E.C. Nurre Funeral Home 177 W. Main St. (St. Rt. 125) Amelia, on Friday January 29th from 6-8:00PM. Funeral Service will be Saturday January 30th at 12noon. Interment Pierce Twp. Cemetery.
