A native of Masontown, Pa., he moved to this area from Nebraska in 1972.
He was an Air Force lieutenant colonel, veteran of World War II, member of the American Legion and Chapel of the Pines.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; a son, James H. of Tampa; four daughters, Barbara Haslett of St. Charles, Mo., Leslie Stevens of Tampa, Debra of Brandon and Janet Krips of Winter Park;
a brother, Lawrence of Tacoma, Wash.;
twosisters, Violet Snyder of and Gladys Springer, both of Masontown; and nine grandchildren.
