Rodney Caster, 17-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Caster of Hammon, suffered fatal injuries when his car collided head-on with a truck on a dusty highway three miles north of Hammon early Sunday night August 25, 1935.

The youth was enroute from Hammon to Moorewood around 7:30 Sunday night. At a point about three miles north of Hammon he started to pass a north-bound car. Dust was heavy and he apparently could not see the truck coming from the north. The truck driver also was blinded by lights of the car and the dust and the machines struck in a head-on collision.

The youth is survived by his parents and six brothers and sisters.
