She was born November 1, 1946, in Johnson County, Ky., to the late Ulysses "Boss" Castle and Reba VanHoose Castle.
She is survived by four sons, John Mathes, Waller, TX., Dennis Flanagan, Lexington, KY., Kelly Flanagan Pikeville, KY., Michael Flanagan, Colorado Springs, CO., two daughters, Bridgette Walfenbarger, Georgetown, KY., Shannon Flanagan, California, three sisters, Kim Zee Castle, Paintsville, KY., Loutishia Castle, South Boston, VA., and Paula Dee Castle, Ft. Meyers FL., 13 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 25, 2012, at the Johnson County Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville, Ky., with Larry Blair officiating.
There will be no visitation.
