Berkley J. Burris, 87, of Atkins died Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Arkansas River Valley Hospice Home.

He was born July 16, 1925, in Atkins, the son of John T. and Maudie Johnston Burris.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother and first wife, Janelda Burris.
He was a Navy Veteran, farmer and a welder and was a member of St. Joe Free Will Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Betty O. Burris and daughter, Debra L. Burris both of Atkins,
Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 30, 2012 at St. Joe Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Darrel Barnes and Rev. Jim McNutt officiating. Burial will be at St. Joe Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Lemley Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Johnston, Phillip Haney, Tim Muncy, Jason Gipson, Brian Hartley and Kenny Linboom.
