Mrs. Bollinger was born April 30, 1917 in York County, the daughter of the late Samuel and Rhoda (Bair) Schaffner.
She was a seamstress with various sewing factories in the York area and worked as a distribution assistant for McCrory's Distribution Center. She was a graduate of the former Manchester H.S., a member of McCrory's Retirement Club, and enjoyed bowling, gardening and her family.
Mrs. Bollinger is survived by a daughter, Farolyn Thumma and friend Rosemary Elliott of Glen Rock; a stepdaughter, Faye Kunkel and husband Donald of York; and numerous step grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, sister and sister-in-law.
Following cremation with Workinger-Semmel F.H. & Crematorium, Inc., York, a graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29th at Paddletown Cemetery.
