Ethel Andrus
Ethel Orpha Andrus, 87, of Caldwell, died Friday, April 23, 1993 at a Caldwell hospital of natural causes. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, 1993 at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell. Rev. Sandy Tarter of the Capital Christian Center, Boise will officiate. Services are under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Ethel was born July 14, 1905 in Jackson, Montana to Isaac E. and Orpha Saw Andrus. At a young age the family moved to Missoula, Montana where Ethel was reared and educated. In 1928 she moved to Marsing, Idaho where she lived until 1936 when she moved to Emmett.
1948 she moved to San Antonia, Texas where she was housemother and Dan of Women at the International Bible College for nine years. In 1957, she moved to the Faith Temple Training Center located in Memphis, Tennessee. After two years she entered nurses training in Dallas, Texas. She came to Caldwell in 1962 to care for her father during his illness until his death in 1973. She resided in Homedale for several years, returning to Caldwell in 1986 where she has since resided.
She is survived by a sister, Edith Chilcote of Hayward, California, a brother Edwin Andrus of Wilder; several nieces and nephews; a great nephew and three great nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
