(OXFORD) Services for Ralph Jackson Bassett Sr., 67, of Oxford were Sunday, Aug. 6, 2000, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott Smith and the
Rev. Steve Dempsey officiating. Burial followed in Forestlawn Gardens.

Mr. Bassett died Friday, Aug. 4, at his residence.

Survivors include his wife Glenda Headrick Bassett of Oxford; one daughter, Becky Daugherty of Killeen, Texas; two sons, Jack Bassett of Oxford and Larry Bassett of Weaver; two sisters, Virginia Crabb of Watsonville, Calif., and Betty Johnson of Roanoke; and five grandchildren.

Mr. Bassett was a native of Randolph County and a resident of Calhoun County for the past 12 years. He was a Navy veteran and was retired from Moore Business Forms. He was a member of Cheaha Baptist Church.

Pallbearers were Pete Farmer, David Farmer, Douglas Brewster, Carl Wilson and Jeffrey Robertson and Darryl Hudson. Honorary pallbearer was Thomas Murray.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be mad to Hospice of East Alabama, 1302 Noble St., Anniston, AL 36201.

Arrangements were by Miller Funeral Home, Oxford.
