CONVERSE -- Eduardo "Eddie" Estrada, 17, 10027 E. Ind. 18, died at 12:16 a.m. Sunday at Howard County roads 500 North and 1300 East, Greentown.
Born in Marion, he attended Oak Hill High School, where he just completed his sophomore year. He was active in baseball, soccer and wrestling. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
Survivors include father and stepmother, Adelfo "Joe" and Adelina Estrada; sisters, Flora Aparicio, Florida, and Dora A. Estrada, Elizabeth Estrada and Paulina Aide, all of Converse; brothers, Eliazin Estrada, Texas, and Jose Estrada, Converse; an uncle, Mark Anthony Estrada, Converse; and maternal grandparents, Julian and Columba Aguilera, Florida.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dora, who died Aug. 8, 1997; and paternal grandparents, Bruno and Flora Estrada.
Services are at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Paul Catholic Church, 1009 Kem Road, Marion, with the Rev. Richard Weisenberger officiating. Burial is in Converse Cemetery, Converse.
Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at Owen-Weilert-Duncan Funeral Home, Larrison-Martin Chapel, 308 E. Marion St., with a vigil service at 7 p.m. today.
