Antonia "Toni" Armijo, age 86, a longtime resident of Los Lunas, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, September 8, 2002, after an illness. Toni was preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Armijo, her parents, Margarita Romero-Griego and Eduardo Griego of Peralta, her three beloved sisters, Adelaida Alderete, Eufemia Armijo and Adelina Torres and three brothers, Adolfo Griego, Hilario Griego and Lalo Griego.
Toni is survived by four loving sisters, Senaida Sánchez and her husband, Tomas, Louisa Lovato, Mela Jaramillo and Cora Barba and one brother, Lorenzo Griego, with whom she resided for many years. Toni is also survived by two sister-in-laws, Josephine Griego and Mary Montaño. Toni had an extended family of many, many loving nieces, nephews, friends, as well as her "church" family.
Toni was a member of the Seventh-Day-Adventist Church in Valencia.
A viewing will be held at Romero Funeral Home on Monday, September 9, 2002 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Pastor Jorge Ricco will conduct services on Tuesday, September 10, 2002 at the Seventh-Day-Adventist Church, 28 El Cerro Rd. in Los Lunas, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the San Clemente Cemetery. Pallbearers will be some of her many nephews, including, Henry Barba, Orlando Jaramillo, José Silviano Lovato, Tony Acosta, Carlos Torres and Gilbert Jaramillo. Honorary Pallbearers will be Reuben Romero, Gerald Chávez and Epifanio Armijo Jr.
