He leaves to cherish his memory three sisters, Hulda of Agenda, Minnie Hammar of Vancouver, Wash., and Emma Olson of Denver, Colo; one brother, Otto Meckenstock of Kirwin; two nephews, one niece, and one grand nephew besides other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Agenda Methodist church on Saturday, June 5, under the ministry of the Rev. W. R. Long. The American Legion also participated in the church service and at the cemetery. Interment was made in the Willoughby cemetery.
