She was the daughter of William Horace Morse and Sarah Virginia Center, granddaughter of Alexander Jenkins Center, Vice President of the Panama Railway when it was built.

After JW Oman died, Virginia Oman returned to US and lived in NY City, and lived in the Hotel Russell and the Hotel Grosvenor on lower Fifth Ave.

She died at her home in Garth Woods Apartments, Garth Road, Scarsdale.
