Blanche B. Bosler, 97, died on March 29, 1997, at John Knox Village Care Center in Lee's Summit, MO.
Blanche was born on Nov. 15, 1899, the daughter of Charles and Minnie (Wortendyke) Burnett. She married Wayne L. Bosler, Sr. in 1917 in Hamilton, MO. They lived in Hamilton, Ludlow and Mooresville before moving to Kansas City, MO, in 1937 with their three sons and one daughter. She worked for many years as a retail clerk in Kansas City, MO, including Milgram's and Safeway stores; as a cashier at the Jones Store; and as a clerk at the Muehlbach Hotel. Upon retiring she moved back to Hamilton and was active in the Hamilton United Methodist Church where she was a member. She was also a member of Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons - Wayne Loren Bosler, Jr. and Charles Marple Bosler; and three brothers - Wade Burnett, True Burnett and Flack Burnett.
Survivors include a son - Ted J. Bosler of Kansas City; a daughter - Grace E. (Bette) Galpin of Independence, MO; a sister - Grace Burnett of Lee's Summit; six grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held this afternoon (Wednesday, April 2) at 2 p.m. at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. Family visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Hamilton. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the church.
