Thanks to Dave Jenkins for this:
FamilySearch.org has image of the will of an Elisha Jenkins dated Sept. 18, 1845. Located at New York Probate Records 1629-1971, NY Wills, 1848, Vol. 96, Image 195 of 374.

In it he mentions: his wife Hannah, stepson, William MacKay, Elisha Jenkins Burrel, s/o Thomas D.Burrel, sister Elizabeth Underhill and her daughter Mary, Gilbert Jenkins and his heirs, deceased sister Anna Havens and her heirs, dec'd sister Mary Alsop and her heirs. He lived at East 15th St., New York, NY. His widow was probably born Colwell (or Caldwell). Nantucket V.R. unfortunately sometimes records events that did not occur in Nantucket. The following is from their birth records: "Elisha, ch. Thomas and Mary,_______CR4. [h. Sarah (d. Nathaniel Green), h._______Colwell (wid., of Boston), s. Thomas and Mary (Barnard), 1770, PR38]."

Thus his first wife was probably Sarah Green and second Hannah Caldwell
