In April 1910 Lena (25, Kansas, mother of 1 deceased and 1 living child), her husband Albert Boxum (30, Netherlands, farmer), her brother Daniel Vandonge (20, Kansas farmer), and son Peter A Roxana (4 months, Kansas) lived on their own farm in Glen Elder Township, Mitchell County, Kansas.

In 1915 Lena (29), her husband Albert Boxum (35), their children Peter A (5), Albertam (3), Fanna (1) and Magerate (3 months) were living on their own farm in Lincoln [Township, Smith County], Kansas.

In September 1918 they lived in or near the small city of Downs, Osborne County, located in the northern part of Kansas.

In April 1920 they lived still near Downs, Osborne County, Kansas, when their son Lloyd was born.

On March 28, 1921 her husband, the 41 years old Albert Boxum was naturalized by a District Court in Smith Center, seat of Smith County, Kansas, and became an American citizen. The two witnesses were residing at Downs.

In February 1923 her husband Albert Boxum died at the age of 43 years in the unincorporated community of Dispatch, located about 6 miles northeast of Downs, Smith County, in the northern part of Kansas.

In 1925 Lena Boxum (39, widow) and her children Peter (15), Bertus (13), Fannie (11), Margret (10), Harold (8), Harry (6), Loyd (5) and Bertha (3) were living on her own farm in Lincoln [Township, Smith County], Kansas. They were all born in Kansas.

In April 1930 Lena Boxum (45, widow, farmer), her children Pete A (19, laborer), Albertus M (18, laborer), Fannie (17), Margaret (16), Harold (13), Henry (12), Lloyd (10) and Bertha (8) were living on her own farm in still Lincoln Township, Smith County, Kansas.

Widow Lena died in March 1969 at the age of 84 years, probably at her last residence place, Cawker City, located about 6 miles east of Downs, Mitchell County, Kansas.
