Isaac PURDY Married Hannah MORGAN in 1804 in Wayne County, Pennsylvania, USA.

Obituary:
The Homes County Farmer Millersburge, Saturday October 7, 1843. For The Farmer DIED- On the first inst at 7 o'clock at his residence, ISSAC PURDY, age 58 years and 10 months. The deceased moved from Pennsylvania to this state in the fall of 1822, with his family and lived to see them all grown up to manhood. He was an early example of piety; took his membership at about 10 years old in the Regular Baptist Church at Palmyra, PA. And joined the Killbuck Baptist Church on the 5th of July 1823, was a member when he died- and for 44 successive years was ready, when asked to give evidence of the hope in God. He listed during the war, and during life, under the banner of King Jesus, and was counted a faithful soldier in the cause. On his short illness with the Cholera Morbus, 33 hours, he paid the last debt of nature to the uttermost farthing. Frequently before he died, he would exclaim in rapture (though in broken tones form his weakness and distress. "I am going to leave this world of trouble and going to see Jesus." And, ongoing asked if he felt resigned, he replied, "the will of God be done," and at times, "O my should, O my soul can this be death," he said to his companion and children "Don't weep for me." On witnessing the scene it brought to mind a poetical expression. " When friend stand weeping all around, And loathe letting them go, He shows with his expiring breath, And bids them all adieu." I witnessed his death in solemn silence his soul took leave of his pained body, and fled to God that gave it, and joined in an anthem of praise to God and the Lamb.
