Obituary from The Greensboro Patriot, December 13, 1920:
C.H. WOOTERS DIED SATURDAY AT McLEANSVILLE. Following an illness of over a month, C.H. Wooters died Saturday afternoon at 6:30 o'clock at the home of his son, Albert Wooters, of McLeansville. Funeral services were conducted yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock from Mt. Pleasant church and burial followed in the church grave yard. Mr. Wooters had passed his 80th birthday at the time of his death. He was a veteran of the civil war, having served in company M, 21st North Carolina infantry, and he was one of the few surviving members of his organization. Surviving the deceased are three daughters: Mrs. R.T. Thomas and Mrs. R.J. Whittington, of this city; Mrs. J.C. Browning, of Brown Summit; and one son, Albert Wooters, of McLeansville. The sisters, Mrs. Dolph Elliott and Mrs. Liza Wood, of this city, and one brother, E.P. Wooters, of Richmond, Va., also survive.
