She was born on September 30, 1928 to Marrie and Lee Borden in Mount Pleasant, Grand Cayman B.W.I.
Marrie is survived by her devoted and loving husband, James G. Howell of West Bay, Grand Cayman B.W.I. whom she married on her 21st birthday in 1949.
Marrie and James, often called Howell, moved to Port Arthur, Texas in 1950 where their five children were born and they still lived together until her death.
Marrie is preceded in death by her daughter, Jen Howell Boyden, grandson, Stephen Howell, four sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband, James Howell; son, Dennis Howell (wife, Sandy Norris Howell); daughters, Ida Howell Ross (husband, Ridley O. Ross), Avis Howell and Edith Howell; her youngest sister, Jen Borden Farrington (husband, Owen Farrington); five grandchildren; one step-grandson; two great-grandsons and five great-granddaughters and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.
Marrie will be buried next to her daughter, Jen, and infant grandson, Stephen Howell at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves, Texas
