Loren Keith Backus was born to Janet, and Keith Backus. He married Elizabeth. His dog was named Flynn. Loren was born in Puyallup, Wa. He went to school in Orting, Washington and St Anne, Mo. He grew up in Orting, Wa, and then went to High School in St Anne, Mo. He joined the Army after High School and was deployed in the Reserves to Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War. He came home safe, and for that we all rejoiced. Loren worked for Boeing at Auburn, and at Fredrickson in Wings. He started as a Deburr Mechanic and was a Grade 5 Wing Skin Prep Sanding Machine Operator. I (Brian Backus) worked in the shop right next to him at Fredrickson. Loren was well liked and was a Conservative and spoke up about it...and that got him into trouble in this day and age at work. He believed in his Country, his family, He loved his wife "Liz." Loren loved his family and friends and was very beloved by all. He had a very nice new home on South Hill Wa, @ 12814 128th St Ct E. Loren loved hunting, and firearms, and camping, and beer. Loren always had a funny joke to tell, and a magic trick to show the kids. He liked to have a good time and he was always ready and willing to come help if needed. Losing Loren was a very painful thing for his family and to this day 12 years later we all mourn his loss. RIP Loren, we'll all meet again on some bright and sunny morning.
