Kathleen Covey Rutherford, 95, of Radford, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave and Bessie Farmer Covey; her husband of 50 years, Edward Hale "Pee Wee" Rutherford; a sister, Edna Phillips; and a brother, Garland Covey. Survivors include her son, Michael (Linda) Rutherford; grandson, Todd (Emily) Rutherford; great-grandson, Ethan Hale Rutherford; great- granddaughter Courtney (Marcus) Johnson; great great granddaughter, Cecilla Johnson; sister, Virginia Atkins; sister-in-law, Freddie Rutherford; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2012, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with the Rev. David A. Kent officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening, August 15, 2012, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rutherford family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
