Born in Rochester, New Hampshire (birth record is Joseph Richard Beaudoise the 7th child). He was a retired agent for Metropolitan Insurance. He served as director of the Public Welfare Dept for Rochester, a representative from Ward IV to the NH General Court for nine years. He also played semi-professional and professional baseball for the Montreal Club of the International League.

Leo played for and managed several baseball clubs in Livermore Falls, Maine: Farmington, Maine: East Rochester, NH and the Augusta Millionaires in Augusta, Maine. In addition, he managed the Teneriffe Club in Portsmouth, NH and the Rochester Tigers. He was the first President of the Rochester Little League Baseball. Mr. Beaudoin served on the Rochester School Board for 25 years and was a life member of the Rochester Lodge of Elks and the Club Victoire.

1st Marriage to Edelburge Michaud (August 26, 1917) in Augusta Maine. (died of Tuberculosis)
2nd Marriage to Leonie Dostie (April 21, 1921) in Augusta Maine. (deceased)
3rd Marriage to Modeste Madore (May 19, 1928) in Augusta, Maine.

After his marriage to Modeste, the family moved back to Rochester NH.

He was of the father of four sons, Leo Jr., Kenneth, Donald and Gerard and four daughters, Lucille, Joan, Pauline and Yvonne.
