Charlotte Gae Beane, 68, of Gassaway died Aug. 30, 2007, at home.

Born Sep. 22, 1938, in Braxton County, she was a daughter of the late Calvin and Elsie Moats Douglas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Basil Beane, in 1991.

She was a very loving mother, a retired US Mail contractor and attended Heaters United Methodist Church.

She is survived by daughters, Laura Woods of Summersville, Lavonne 'George' Smarr and Sharon Lynn Brady, both of Gassaway, Loretta Ann Reese of Clendenin, Rosie Shaver of Exchange and Sissy Bosley of Little Birch; brothers, John Douglas and Marlon Moats, both of Newville, and Roger Moats of Spencer; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sep 1, at the Richard M Roach Funeral Home, Gassaway, with Pastor Dennis Shaver officiating. Burial will be in Heaters Cemetery.
