He was the fifth child of Christian C. Kukuck, the first of Bertha Soucie Kukuck, born on the family farm in Salinas Township.
He married Margaret Sauer on Dec. 21, 1933 in Kankakee. They had one daughter and one son - his son Lynn F Kukuck and daughter Barbara A Kukuck
He farmed the family land. 1948-1974 he was manager-secretary of the Home Township Mutual Fire Insurance Co. which merged with Manteno Fire Insurance to become the Kankakee County Mutual Fire Insurance Co. Continued as agent until 1988.
He was a member of St. Mark United Methodist church of Kankakee. Francis was an avid baseball fan.
