Margie Ruth (Mabe) Blansit, age 84, of Nixa, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012. She was born November 18, 1927, near Highlandville, one of 13 children of Donald and Hazel (Warren) Mabe.
On April 18, 1946 she and William Wilbur Blansit were united in marriage. Margie worked alongside her husband in the ministry at Oakridge Full Gospel Church at Walnut Shade and Nixa First Assembly in Nixa.
She cooked many meals for church members, family and friends, and those in need. She was a sister to the founders of the Baldknobbers Show in Branson.
Survivors include: Her husband, Rev. Wilbur Blansit; a son, Don Blansit and wife, Marquita, Nixa, and their children, Chad Blansit and Tosha, and RaChelle Iles and Jason; a son, Jack Blansit and wife, Nancy, Independence, and their children, Brock Blansit and Danelle, Todd Blansit and Tiffany, Ryan Blansit, Brooke Fasnacht and Justin; eleven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob Made and Cletus Mabe; two sisters, Joan Bilyeu, and Sharon Kay Michel; other relatives and many, many church friends.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Bill, Jim, Max, Lyle, and Don Mabe; and three sisters, Pauline McCafferty, Nancy Carter, and Connie Sue Mabe.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, August 16, at Nixa First Assembly. Burial will follow at Highlandville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Adams Funeral Home, Nixa.
