Vera Potter Ballard Vera Potter Ballard, passed away July 21, 2002 in Salt Lake City.She was born Nov 24, 1905 in Park City, UT to James Potter and Louisa Sowards Potter. She mar-ried Reid Ballard, July 4, 1935 in Salt Lake City. He preceded her in death March 11, 1986. Vera was an active and life-long member of the LDS Church. She was a prolific cook and generous to all in need. As a thrifty homemaker she sewed clothes for herself and her family. She was always kind to animals, well read and had an excellent memory. She is survived by sisters, Donna Ray, Estella Tusi; three sons, James (Kathleen), Evan (Linda), Gordon (Sharon); grandchildren, David, Kris, Sara, Sue, Craig, Marc, Jeffrey, Amy (Clint); and great-grandchildren, Sa-mantha, Raven, Gage, Kody, Sierra. Preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Norma, Emily Warner, Lois Taylor, Fern Honderich, May; and brother, Winslow. A viewing will be July 23, 7-9 p.m., Larkin Mortuary, 260 E. South Temple. Services will be Fri. in Whittier, CA. Interment, Rose Hills Cemetery..
