Robert A Carlson, resident of Ashburnham and husband of Clara Anderson, is buried with his wife and two sons Robert C. and Harry A. G., and Ferdinand X. Bedard, Jr. in the same plot. Robert was born in Sweden, and married Clara Washburn (nee Anderson) in 1898. She died 7 years later after having 5 more children with Robert, and he raised the two oldest, and found places for the younger ones. He worked as a gunsmith and laborer. After 1940, he applied and was accepted into the home at Charlton Farm Home in Charlton, which serviced several towns in Worcester including Ashburnham. Today in private hands it is called Charlton Manor.
He has no marker, but his wife, Clara, and his son, Harry, do have markers in the same plot.
