A Registered Nurse Ida married Floyd just before WWII. After the war they settled in the suburbs of Pittsburgh,PA. She loved to paint, cook, garden and entertain her many friends and relatives. Retiring to Venice in 1976 she was active in the Venice Garden Club and the Suncoast Chapter of the American Hibiscus Society. She had 2 daughters, 2 granddaughers and a greatgrandson born 4 days after her passing.
