L.A. Seidl, 67, of 829 North 10th street painting contractor, died Tuesday
evening at his home, after an illness of a few months.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Mittnacht-Kollath
funeral home and at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart church. The Rev. Louis M. Schorn
will be the celebrant of the mass; the Rev. Earl Brouchoud, deacon, and the
Rev. Anton Stefl, subdeacon. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Seidl was born in 1881 in Kossuth on the homestead farm. He attended the
Sheboygan Business college and did office work for several years before coming
to Manitowoc to work for H. W. DePons, a painting contractor. About 20 years
ago he started his own business.
In 1907 he married Rose Delsman at Francis Creek. She survives with one
daughter, Mrs. Sewell Woolman of Sheboygan; five sons, Alfred of Lincoln Nebr.,
Elmer and Lester of Manitowoc, Ludwig Jr., of Port Clinton, Ohio, and William
of St. Louis; brother, Frank of Kossuth; five sisters, Mrs. Anna Krainik of
Manitowoc, Mrs. Tina Kronforst of Mishicot, Mrs. Frank Urban, Mrs. Josephine
Vraney and Mrs. Charles Stransky of Manitowoc; nine grand children.
The body may be viewed at the Mittnacht-Kollath funeral home after 7 p.m.
Wednesday. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Seidl is a
past president and secretary treasurer of the Manitowoc Painter local.
