Adolph E. Gesell, 87, of 4002 Michigan Ave., Manitowoc, died Thursday, Oct. 25, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Alfred Klumb will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Gesell was born Oct. 6, 1892, at Two Rivers, son of the late George and Mary Phuss Gesell. He attended Two Rivers schools, moving to Manitowoc in 1916. He married Gertrude Schmidtman in 1920 at Maniotwoc. Mr. Gesell had been employed with Mirrow Corporation for 40 years, retiring in 1952.
Survivors include his wife, Gertrude; two daughters, Patricia Severson and Dona Gesell of Manitowoc; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edgar and Caroline Gesell of Antigo and Clarence and Bertha Gesell of Two Rivers; a sister, Mrs. Leone Mader of Antigo; a sister-in-law, Leona Gesell and a brother-in-law, Charles Dose of Two Rivers; four grandchildren, David, Mark, Robin and Kim Severson; five great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Twin sons, a brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
