August Eberhardt, This City Dies at Phoenix, Ariz. Today
Phoenix, Ariz., Feb. 26 - August Eberhardt, Manitowoc, died here today, result
of pulmonary hemorrhage. Body to be returned to Manitowoc.
The above brief dispatch late today came as a shock to relatives and friends. Mr.
Eberhardt, who spent last winter in Phoenix, returned there two months ago and
was thought to be improved in health. He was a victim of tuberculosis and had been
ill for some time. Mr. Eberhardt is a son of August Eberhardt, this city and was
30 years of age. A widow, formerly Miss Bremmer, Two Rivers, survives with parents
and brothers and sisters. The body will be brought here for burial.

BURIAL TO BE HELD FRIDAY.
Body of August Eberhardt to Reach City Tomorrow.
Funeral services for the late August Eberhardt, whose death occurred at
Phoenix, Ariz., will be held from the home of his parents on Michigan avenue,
Friday afternoon. The body will arrive in the city Wednesday and will be taken
to the home. Mr. Eberhardt’s death was a painful shock to family and friends
who thought that his health was improving. Besides a widow, his parents and
three brothers, Charles, Henry and William, and four sisters, Mrs. Samp, Branch,
Mrs. R. Rudolph, city, Mrs. W. O’Hara, Washington, D.C., and Mrs. A. Aaastad,
Ludington, survive.

Death in Phoenix, Arizona, on Thursday of August Eberhardt of a lung
illness.
The deceased was only 30 years old and had left here about a year ago
in hopes that the mild climate of Arizona might help his illness… Mr.
Eberhardt leaves a widow and 2 brothers. The body was brought here for
burial.
