Lillie G. Baca, age 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, August 10, 2012. Lillie was born in Val Verde, NM on October 18, 1931 to Jose Eligio and Aurelia (Carriaga) Gutierrez. Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Jose Eloy Baca and her brothers, David Gutierrez and Elias Gutierrez. Lillie was a lifelong resident of Socorro. Lillie was a member of the Family Christian Center. Lillie ran a day care at the Harwood Methodist Church for over 20 years before she opened her home to care for children, "Escuelita De Carino", which she ran for 10 years. Lillie loved working with children more than anything. Lillie was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed gardening. Lillie is survived by her devoted children, Rose Baca-Rivet and her husband, Denis and their children, Rudi and Rebeca Salazar and Joey E. Baca and his wife, Linda and their children, Joey C. Baca, Jeremy E. Baca, Jamie Gonzales-Trujillo, Kenny Gonzales and Amanda Armijo, eleven great-grandchildren, her brother, Joe Gutierrez Jr., her sister, Jessie Llamas and her husband, Lorenzo and many other loving family members. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Daniels Family Funeral Services - Socorro Chapel, Officiating Gary Floyd. Interment will take place in the Socorro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Baca, Kenny Gonzales, Lorenzo Llamas, Rudi Salazar, Rebeca Salazar, and Joseph Gutierrez. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Gutierrez Family.
