Although cast mostly in bit parts, his many film credits include "Citizen Kane" (1941), "Singin' in the Rain" (1952), "Kid Galahad" (1962), "The Ballad of Josie" (1967) and "Coma" (1978). For television he appeared on "The Twilight Zone", "Twin Detectives", "Columbo" and "Future Cop". He also helped organize the Actors Guild in Hollywood.
