Raymond F. Alder, 88, of 56 Ames St., Mexico, died Thursday, April 11. He was born in Sykeston, N.D. He was a truck driver for Terpening Trucking Co. for 27 years and retired from Alcan after seven years.
He was a communicant of St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church. His wife, Bernadetta, died in 1995; and a son, Albert, died in 1991.
Surviving are three daughters, Nancy Nelson of New Haven, Carole Dann of Oswego, and Donna Barnett of Fulton; a son, Francis of Mexico; 14 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Services were held Monday in St. Mary's Star of the Sea Church, Main Street, Mexico. Burial was in Mexico Village Cemetery. Harter Funeral Home, Mexico, has arrangements.
