Ben was the third child and second son of Edward Arthur and Lois Lynn (Brunkow) Polhemus, and the brother of Christa and Brandon. His paternal grandparents were Helen Oleta (Bradshaw), (deceased 1970) and Eugene Polhemus (deceased 2013) and his second wife, Soffia Elizabet (Benjaminsdottir) (Lindholm). Ben was a sweet, loving little boy whose death was the result of a tragic accident.
