. ARTERBERRY OF MAQUOKETA DIES 2-2-1934
MAQUOKETA ALEXANDER L. ARTERBERRY
ALEXANDER ARTERBERRY, 75, died at his home on South Second St, Fri. afternoon.
He had been in failing health for 5 years & in serious condition for almost a year.
Born, 5-10-1859, Jackson Co., Tenn, the old INDIAN TERRIRORY, he came to
Maquoketa, Iowa, about 25 years ago.
He is survived by his widow, who was JOSEPHINE WALKER, 2 sons, Levi &
Ben Arterberry, & 3 daughters, Mrs. Clyde (PHOEBE) Manning, MRS. HARVEY
(CORA) MANNING, both of MAquoketa, & Mrs. Charlie (MINNIE) Latham
of Clinton.
There are also a number of grandchildren.
The funeral services will be held Mon. afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Buchner Chapel.
Rev. John Heide of Fulton officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cem.
