LaCrosse — Alvin Depperschmidt, 49, former LaCrosse resident, died Tuesday at Veterans Administration Hospital, Grand Island, Neb., after a long illness.

Born June 30, 1923, at La Crosse, he married Reva Feldcamp.

He was a truck driver and lived at Doniphan, Neb. 10 years. He was a member of the St. Michael Catholic Church, La Crosse; American Legion, VFW.

Survivors include the widow; sons: Larry and Gary, La Crosse; daughters: Mrs. Shirley Chester, Portland, Ore.; Linda Depperschmidt, La Crosse; stepdaughter: Mrs. Carol Reed, Motiett, Mo.; bothers: Edwin, Doniphan; Elmer, Yukon, Okla.; Ralph, Germany; sisters: Mrs. Lorraine Schaffer and Mrs. Mary Foos, La Crosse; Mrs. Genevieve Kreutzer, Leoti; Mrs. Annie Young, Anadarko, Okla.; Wilma Depperschmidt, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Rita Liggett, Rush Center.

Funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday at the church; Father George McLaughlin. Rosary will be 8 p.m. Thursday at the Janousek Funeral Home, La Crosse. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
