KAYSVILLE--Pauline Burningham Schofield, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, 74, returned home to her Heavenly Father, Tuesday, March 23, 1999, from a heart attack. She was born March 6, 1925 in Bountiful, Utah, a daughter of John Asa and Priscilla Ann Warner Burningham. She married Carl Robert Schofield on October 29, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a member of the Kaysville 13th Ward, where she served in many callings. She will be remembered for her selfless service to ward members as well as friends. She served in the Ogden LDS Temple.

She loved her nieces and nephews, her children and especially her grandchildren. She also loved the children in her neighborhood who knew her as "the cookie lady" due to the cookies she would lovingly give them each day. She enjoyed monthly outings with "The Bridge Club", a group of her closest friends. Pauline retired from the Defense Mapping Agency. She was known for the loving concern she displayed for all who knew her.

Surviving are one son, Kevin L. (Merlynn) Schofield, Kaysville; one daughter, Taryn S. Kay; two grandchildren, Brooke and Conner Kay, all of Moab, Utah; one granddog, Micky. Also surviving are two brothers, Calvin (Lois) Burningham, Salt Lake City; Douglas (Mary Beth) Burningham, Panguitch; and one sister, Geraldine Atwood, Centerville.

She was preceded in death by her sweetheart of 52 years, Carl; her parents; two brothers, Clarence and Wallace Burningham; and two sisters, Thelma Burningham and Etta Workman.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 27, 1999 at 2 p.m. at the Kaysville LDS 13th Ward, 875 E. 200 No., with Bishop David J. Hill officiating. Friends and family may call at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 No. Main, on Friday from 6-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at the church. Interment Kaysville City Cemetery.
