Apollonie Elizabeth "Leona" Wilde, 94, of Freeburg, died Thursday, June 3, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Care Center.
She was born on June 21, 1915, in Brinktown, Mo., the daughter of the late Herman and Mary Brune Rehagen. She was married on June 8, 1937, in Freeburg, to Alphonse Phillip Wilde who preceded her in death on November 3, 2001. Leona was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Leona was an avid quilter.
Survivors include: five children, James (Julia) Wilde, Freeburg; Eugene Wilde, Freeburg; Leroy (Sharon) Wilde, Wardsville; Norbert Wilde, Wardsville; Arline Laubert, Freeburg; 16 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two infant grandsons, Francis Laubert and David Laubert; and two brothers, Alex and Raymond Rehagen. Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Philip E. Niekamp officiating. Burial will be in Holy Family Catholic Church, Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Westphalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
