Daughter of Alex and Mary (Maggio) DiVerdi. Married Charles E. Alberts on Aug. 24, 1947, in St. Anthony Catholic Church, Rockford. Survivors include husband, Charles; three children and their spouses, four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, a sister, a brother and sister-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers, Bernard, Sam and James; and sister, Cozette Szymanski.
Employed by Illinois Bell for several years and also by Rockford Dry Goods at Meadowmart Center, retiring in 1972. Member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. She was an ardent supporter of Milestone with the Poinsettia Fund Raiser. Rose was known for making Christmas tree skirts. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and throwing parties. Rose loved spending time with family, especially her Italian Christmas eves.
Service at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, in St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, with rosary recited at 7 p.m. in Delehanty Funeral Home Ltd., 401 River Lane.
