Mrs. Helen Hathaway, 86, of Ivy Hall Nursing Home, Elizabethton, died there Friday, April 1, 2005, following a brief illness. Mrs. Hathaway was a native of Elizabethton and the daughter of the late Baxter E. and Mary Morrell Nave.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cale L. Hathaway, in 1986, a sister, Beatrice Stubblefield, and a stepdaughter, Joyce Mitchell.

Mrs. Hathaway was a retired bookkeeper with Carter County Bank. She was a former member of the Elizabethton Business and Professional Women's Club and a former member of the Elizabethton Women's Club. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elizabethton.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hathaway were conducted at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Mr. Brent Nidiffer, minister, officiating. Music was under the direction of Dan Pratt,
soloist. Graveside services and interment will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 3, at Happy Valley Memorial Park.
