She married Thomas Markee on Oct 9, 1971, in Mellen, WI and celebrated 40 years of marriage. Susan was employed as a special education para professional at Cooper School in the Superior School District and recently retired after many years of service. She was a member of Cathedral of Christ the King Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Susan is survived by her husband, Thomas; children, Christine (Donald) Polkinghome, Diana (Michael) Markee-O'Brien and Scott (Jill) Markee, all of Superior; three grandchildren, Kathryn, Dane and Matthew; sister, Jeanine (Tim) Carbon, Highbridge, WI; nephew, Ian (Nicole) Carbon, Ashland, WI; father-in-law, Kenneth Markee, Mellen, WI; three brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Ardell) Markee, Colstrip, MT, James Markee, Mellen, WI and Mark (Lori) Markee, Mosinee, WI; and nephews and nieces, Kenneth, Adrian, Shannon and Marcus.
Susan was a beautiful, thoughtful person who always put others before herself. She loved her family very much and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Superior.
