Harry A. Ahring, 92, Kansas City in Platte County, died Friday, September 13, 2002, at the Barry Manor. Services will be held Sunday, September 15, 2002, at 7 p.m. at the Avondale United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends after the service until 8:30 p.m. Interment will be at the Wellington City Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Monday. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Avondale United Methodist Church.
Mr. Ahring was born in Wellington, MO, and lived there until 1940. He served in the 305th Bombardment Group during World War II. He worked for MidContinent Motor Parts, the Chrysler Corporation, and Sam Brown Auto Parts before retirement.
Mr. Anring was a member of the Avondale United Methodist Church and a life member of the United Methodist Men. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Heart of America Cursillo, and the Midlands United Methodist Cursillo. He is survived by his wife, Vera Mae Ahring.
